Privacy Policy
Last updated 30 October 2026
capypaper keeps only what it needs to run your trading. No ads, no analytics, no tracking. This page follows the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection, and the GDPR where it applies.
What we store, and why
- Your wallet session: your wallet address, the encrypted session key, its address and expiry, and an order counter, so you can sign in and place orders.
- Your orders: each order you place (market, side, margin, leverage, position, deadline, status). For conditional orders, take profit and stop loss also their price, expiry, background setting, status history and when they were last checked, plus a per-position guard against closing twice.
- Your settings: opening risk caps and the margin they hold back, and if you set them, your username, payout address and copy fee.
- Chat: your messages, with your wallet and the time.
- Feedback: what you send through the Feedback form, with your wallet and the time, so we can improve capypaper and follow up.
- Credit deposits (not enabled yet): the transaction, amount and sending wallet of each deposit.
What we read from Papertrade
To show your account and manage your orders we read your Papertrade account (balances, positions, queued orders) and your trade history. For orders you set to run with the tab closed, the background service reads your account too.
Who can see what
Other signed-in users see your trades in the trade feed and your chat messages, shown with your username or a shortened wallet address, never your full address. Wallet addresses and transactions are public on their blockchains anyway.
Service providers
capypaper runs on Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database and live chat updates) and Fly.io (the background service). Your signed orders go to Papertrade. Chart prices come from Hyperliquid's public market data, without any personal data. Deposit checks would use a Robinhood Chain node. Some of these providers process data outside Switzerland, including in the United States.
In your browser
capypaper_session: a signed login cookie, kept for 30 days.capypaper_theme: your appearance choice.capypaper_background_orders(local storage): whether new orders run with the tab closed.
How long we keep it, and your rights
Disconnecting deletes your session key and signs you out. You can delete your own chat messages and remove your username and payout address in Settings. Order and trade records stay so your history is complete, until you ask us to delete them. You can ask to see, correct or delete your data at any time.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes too. See also the Terms of Service.
